What Are Fascial Maneuvers®?
Movement is just the beginning.
If you've come across Human Garage®, you've probably wondered what Fascial Manoeuvres® actually are.
They don't look like traditional exercise.
They're not yoga.
They're not stretching.
In fact, they often look surprisingly simple.
That's because the point isn't to perform the movement perfectly.
The point is to notice what happens when you move differently.
So, what are Fascial Manoeuvres®?
Fascial Manoeuvres® are a series of movements developed by Human Garage®.
They're designed to invite your body to move in ways it perhaps hasn't for a long time.
Some movements spiral.
Some twist.
Some encourage shaking, walking or simply taking a different breath.
None of them are about forcing change.
They're an invitation to slow down, become curious and notice what your body is already communicating.
Why are they different?
Most of us have grown up thinking about movement through muscles.
Stretch this muscle.
Strengthen that muscle.
Work harder.
Human Garage® looks at movement through fascia—the connective tissue that runs throughout your entire body.
Because fascia forms a continuous three-dimensional network, Fascial Manoeuvres® invite your body to move in spirals, rotations and multiple directions rather than simply stretching in a straight line.
It's a different way of exploring movement.
Do Fascial Manoeuvres® release fascia?
People often ask this.
The truth is, everyone's experience is different.
Some people notice more freedom in their movement.
Some feel more connected to their body.
Some simply enjoy slowing down for a few minutes each day.
For me, that's the beauty of the practice.
You're not trying to achieve someone else's experience.
You're discovering your own.
Do I need to get them right?
No.
In fact, I'd encourage you to let go of the idea of getting them right.
This isn't about perfect technique.
It's about building awareness.
The practice is in the noticing.
The more you listen, the more your body has the opportunity to show you.

-
No.
Traditional stretching is usually linear, asking one muscle to lengthen in one direction.
Fascial Manoeuvres® use spiralling, rotation and whole-body movement, reflecting the way fascia connects the body as one continuous system.
-
There's no rule.
Some people spend five minutes.
Others spend longer.
It's less about how much time you spend moving and more about how present you are while you're moving.
-
No.
Just your body, a little space and a willingness to explore.
