Can You Have Access Bars® During Pregnancy?

Pregnancy brings many physical and emotional changes, so it's natural to have questions before booking any wellbeing session.

Because Access Bars® is a gentle hands-on session using a light touch on specific points of the head, many people choose to experience it during pregnancy.

If you're pregnant and considering a session, I recommend speaking with your midwife or healthcare professional if you have any questions about whether it's appropriate for your individual circumstances.

What Happens During A Session?

The session itself remains gentle and unhurried.

You'll remain fully clothed throughout and I'll make sure you're positioned comfortably using cushions and supports where needed.

Your comfort is always the priority, and you're welcome to change position or take a break at any time.

Will The Session Be Different?

The Access Bars® process itself doesn't change.

What does change is making sure you're comfortable throughout the appointment.

Every pregnancy is different, so we'll take a few moments before we begin to discuss how you're feeling and anything you'd like me to be aware of.

Why Do Some Pregnant Women Choose Access Bars®?

People choose an Access Bars® session for many different reasons.

Some simply enjoy having dedicated time to slow down and rest.

Others appreciate taking a quiet pause away from the busyness of everyday life.

Every person's experience is unique, and there is no particular outcome that you should expect.

Is There A Best Stage Of Pregnancy?

People ask this question regularly.

Rather than there being one "best" stage, the most important consideration is how you're feeling and whether your healthcare professional has advised that complementary wellbeing sessions are appropriate for you.

If you're unsure, it's always worth asking before booking.

When Should I Wait?

If you've been advised by your midwife, consultant or GP to avoid complementary therapies, or if you have any concerns about your pregnancy, it's always best to follow their guidance first.

Your health and your baby's wellbeing come before everything else.

My Approach

If you're pregnant, my priority is creating a calm, comfortable space where you can simply relax.

There is no expectation for you to experience anything in particular.

Before every session we'll have time to chat, and if you have any questions, you're always welcome to ask them.
